As you all know I have been attempting to get my first narrative feature off the ground for a few years now. The film is entitled From Here To Nowhere and the script was selected to be a part of the Austin Film Festival's Writer's Ranch and through that found its way into the hands of several production companies in Texas, Los Angeles and New York. As great as this is, the truth is, it has not worked out the way I had hoped. However, I still plan on getting this film made, and that’s where you come in!!

I will be shooting a short called Katrina’s Son in the next month and need your help!! I received a grant for the film, but just recently found out that another grant that I was hoping for did not come through, which has left me in a little bind. The short film, like the feature, is a post Hurricane Katrina story. It is about a young boy, who after losing his grandmother in the storm, travels to San Antonio in search of the mother who abandoned him in New Orleans a few years earlier. The film will be used as a fundraising tool for the feature, and will also be sent to film festivals around the world.

Living in Texas, I saw first-hand how Hurricane Katrina destroyed so many lives and scattered people across the United States, leaving them without homes and many of them scarred forever. This is their story. This film will not deal with the storm itself, but the lasting effects that the tragedy has had on the people of New Orleans and their “new neighbors”.

Anything you can do to help me get this story out will be tremendously appreciated!! If all you have is $5.00, $10.00, whatever you can pull together will be a great help…it all adds up.

Donations contributed to Exodus Filmworks, goes to the creation of great work, that changes the lives of the people who view it.

Thank you so much for your help!!!
